September 6th, 2007

"After a summer dedicated to acquisitions, we look forward to very active sales in the Fall" – said MonteCristo's Executive Ms. Cindy Nelson-Mullen. The Company has announced the acquisition of worldwide distribution rights to a slate of completed films, including Karlovy Vary's Special Jury Mention and FIPRESCI winner "Simple Things" from Russia, the romantic comedy and public favorite "Someone Else" from the United Kingdom, the erotic drama "Underneath" from Poland and "Truth Be Told", a Singaporean thriller, amongst other titles that will be announced during the Fall and premiere at the American Film Market. At the same time The MonteCristo Fund is in the latter stages of pre-production of action film The Repeating Identity and P2-Unforgiven, a Thai horror sequel. "MonteCristo is growing steadily and we expect 2008 to be a banner year for the Company, with higher budget films going into production," said President Michael Taverna.
