Michael Taverna - a multi-talented Entertainment Industry veteran - has written, directed, produced & distributed a host of notable films. These include "Managua" with Academy Award Winner Louis Gossett Jr.; and "By the Sword" with Academy Ward winning actor F. Murray Abraham. Mr Taverna joined Horizon Entertainment in 2001 as its Sales and Acquisition Executive and contributed enormously in growing Horizon from 3 to 60 completed pictures. Among these were the highly acclaimed horror genres: "RING", "THE GRUDGE" and "DARK WATER". Throughout 2002, Mr Taverna set up Theatrical releases for Japan's Kadowkawa Horror Films across Europe; and executive produced "HALLOWS END and "SHADOWS of the DEAD". Concurrently Mr. Taverna has continued to direct & develop feature film packages while establishing a strong network of foreign buyers worldwide. In 2004, he formed MonteCristo Entertainment as a sales, distribution and film production company; participating in the major film markets including Cannes, AFM, Berlin, MIP and MIFED.
